Nature Guidance – an easy start to your own outdoor adventure
Maybe you already know how to get around in nature, you'd love to go hiking, but where do you start, where do you find guidance, how do you practice?
We'll map out your wishes and starting level, assess your needs and plan a suitable route, provide clear instructions and practice using the equipment together in advance. Equipment is available for almost all trips (by agreement), but clothing and personal gear should be brought by the participant.

Example Packages
1) 1–2 Night Hiking Practice
For: beginners and occasional hikers who want to feel more confident about overnight stays and navigating the terrain.
Duration & difficulty: 1–2 nights, easy to moderate – taking weather and terrain into account, you'll mostly travel on marked trails and paths, making use of existing outdoor structures.
What you get from us:
- Skill level assessment (30–60 min) + route plan (schedule, rest stops, water and food logistics, alternatives).
- Gear list and packing guide: tailored to your destination and the weather
- Overnight basics: setting up shelter, staying warm & dry, camp routines.
- Navigation basics: map reading & route choices (GPX track if needed).
Practice sessions if needed:
- Shelter setup (tent/tarp/hammock), sleeping mat & sleeping bag.
- Cooking on a camping stove, fuel selection, hygiene.
- Packing and carrying comfort.
- Meal and water supply planning and execution.
Equipment available: basic outdoor gear by agreement and as needed.
You bring: weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, personal items (drinks, food, snacks, medications).
2) Self-Guided Paddling Trip
For: those with some paddling experience who want to explore the waterways more independently.
Duration & difficulty: day trip to overnight, easy to moderate (taking weather, wind, and the shelteredness of the waterway into account).
What you get from us:
- Canoe / kayak
- Route plan: launch and landing spots, rest stops, wind directions & sheltered areas, alternative routes.
- Equipment: dry bags, paddling life jackets.
- Water safety guidelines: clothing, cold water awareness, phone protection, how to act in different situations.
Practice sessions (by arrangement):
- Basic kayak/canoe equipment, fundamental paddling posture and steering strokes, landing technique.
- Basic self-rescue logic and anticipating risks.
Equipment available: in addition to paddling gear, equipment such as a tent, hammock, etc. by agreement.
You bring: clothing (appropriate for the weather and water temperature), personal gear.
Please note: Paddling routes and recommendations are always tailored to current weather conditions and the experience level and wishes of the participant or group.
3) Overnight by the Fire
For: a relaxed and easy introduction to overnight adventures – perfect for families and first-timers.
Duration & difficulty: 1 night, easy, at a chosen nearby outdoor destination close to a lean-to shelter or campfire site. A tent or hammock is included for sleeping.
What you get from us:
- An easy route plan to a campfire spot, a schedule and backup options.
- Fire-making guidance (in accordance with current regulations and conditions) and cooking over a campfire / camp stove.
- Gear list: warmth, lighting, safety, waste management.
Practice sessions if needed:
- Fire making, ignition techniques and extinguishing.
- Using a camp stove as an alternative (for when fire bans are in effect).
- Overnight basics and camp routines.
Equipment available: stoves, cooking and camp equipment by agreement.
You bring: clothing and personal gear.
4) Tailored Equipment Skills Sessions
For: anyone who wants to build confidence in one or a few specific areas.
Also suitable for groups – even as a team-building activity combining several topics.
Duration: 1h–2h per topic (can be combined).
Example topics:
- Stoves & cooking: fuel types, safe use, optimising your pack.
- Shelter & sleeping: tent/tarp/hammock, managing warmth & moisture.
- Packing & carrying: adjusting your pack, weight distribution, essential gear.
- Navigation basics: map, compass, phone/offline maps, backup plan.
- Weather & risk management: layering, rest rhythm, anticipating conditions.
Equipment available: the most common outdoor gear is available for practice, and you're welcome to bring your own as well.
You bring: clothing and personal items.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a guided trip?
No. We plan and coach you in advance – the trip itself is self-guided.
Do I need my own gear?
Clothing and personal items are your own. Equipment is available for almost all trips – just confirm availability with us in advance.
Can we practice before we head out?
Absolutely. We'll practice using stoves, setting up shelter, packing and basic navigation – all tailored to your needs.
How does the weather affect things?
We build alternatives into the plan and provide guidance on how to make decisions. If needed, we can adjust the route or timing.
Can I get a GPX route?
Yes – if needed, we'll provide a GPX track to support your plan. A paper map will also be included.
Price estimate (starting from)
- Initial assessment + plan (1–2 persons, approx. 2 h): from 80 €
- Equipment and skills training (1 h): from 40 €
- Groups (>5 persons): from 20 € / person

- Nature guiding is a personalised service tailored to your wishes. The final price will be confirmed based on your preferences and the duration of the activity.
- The price for equipment and skills training is also determined by the time of day, required equipment and training location.
- Equipment, kayaks or canoes taken along on a trip are available at a discounted rate of −10–25 % when booked together with nature guiding.
